catoPAN™ supports both the preparation of patient-oriented mixture bags as well as the batch production of standard mixture bags. Several mixture bags can be combined into one preparation. catoPAN™ supports the user when choosing the required materials and preparations and it documents the used batches in order to ensure that they can be traced back.

Furthermore, catoPAN™ prepares the required lists of drugs and supplies, it offers detailed preparation instructions and it prints labels. In order to guarantee the most efficient automation, catoPAN™ offers – apart from manual preparation – also the possibility to control compounders.

catoPAN™ can not only be used as an independent software product but also integrated into an existing cato^® system. Therefore, within catoPAN™ it is possible to utilize the data import and export interfaces of cato^®, such as patient data synchronization with a hospital‘s IT system.
