Cato® PAN offers comprehensive software support for ordering, verification, preparation and administration of TPN products. Cato® PAN is a stand-alone application which uses the cato® database and therefore can be used as a module of cato®. In cato® PAN, orders are calculated on the basis of the patient's daily TPN requirements. The user can either create a custom bag with any components or the TPN can be generated from a template. Such templates may contain dose data depending on the patient's medical result values (e.g. ml per body weight), but also definable formulas. It is also possible to order prefabricated standard bags with set quantity ingredients. The use of cato® PAN by the Physician facilitates online connection between physician and pharmacist, and the timely transmission of requests. | |  | Cato® PAN overview  | |
Preparation
Cato® PAN supports both the patient-individual preparation of bags and the batch-oriented production of standard bags. Cato® PAN supports the producer with the selection of the required products, it documents the batches used for the purpose of traceability, it enables the printout of parts lists, and it automatically generates detailed preparation instructions and prints labels. | |
Cato® PAN does not only provide excellent support withmanual preparation – it also offers the possibility to control pumps (as for example for medOC models byNeo Care or MM23 by Baxa) for production automation. | |  |
